Experience the Best of Kerala at No. 10 Fort Cochin: A Culinary Journey of Traditional Kerala Cuisine

No.10 Fort Cochin, St. Marks Road, Bangalore

A good Kerala cuisine place with a fair number of items on the menu. They have quite an interesting menu, something that your mind and heart will tell you to order everything that's there. This is situated inside a hotel I believe, the seating is very limited. We had reserved a table before coming so it was hassle free for us when we arrived. The staff are courteous and cooperative. The prices are moderate and you get what you are paying for. You can park either in front of the building or wherever you can find a spot on St Marks road. The food does not take a lot of time to reach your table.

So, we ordered Chatty choru, Veg Sadhya, Prawns Biryani, Koonthal Porichathu, Nadan Chemeen tawa fry. 

The Chatty choru is a one pot (multiple) dish. Served in an earthen pot with a battalion of kerala dishes to attack your soul, along with omelette and fried fish. Chatty choru is definitely a must try.

The Kerala sadhya is your typical multiple Kerala dish with rice served on a banana leaf. Koonthal Porichathu was a good squid dish, I loved the coating of their special masala. 

Vegetarian Sadhya

The chemmeen roast was a well cooked dish, had a nice flavour on the whole, I'm not sure, but this has the same masala as that of the Koonthal Porichathu. 

Chemmeen Roast (Prawns Roast)

The prawns biryani was a perfectly cooked dish. It had a good Malabari preparation flavour, would recommend this as well.

The Koonthal roast had the same flavour as that of the Chemmeen, but this was the a bit rubbery if I can add. I believe it had the same marination as that of the Chemmeen Roast.

Koonthal Roast (Squid Roast)

We had an amazing time here. The food portion is good, you won't overeat. Definitely coming here to try out the other items in the menu. I would like to give the:
